OSHA Facility Audit 

The Kentucky School Plant Management Association partnering with the Kentucky Department of Labor Division of Occupational Safety and Health is offering a complementary OSHA Safety Audit for your School District's Maintenance Operations.  The comprehensive audit has zero citations or penalties associated with the audit.  However, any deficiencies discovered during the auditing process must be addressed and corrected within a specified time frame.  Failure to correct the deficiencies could result in citations from the Kentucky Department of Labor Division of Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Division.  

The auditing process typically takes 1-2 days and will only focus on the Maintenance Department Operations.  The auditor typically will: 

• Review over Written Safety Programs and Policies 
• Review over Training Records 
• Conduct a visual inspection of work areas 
• Provide the District with a comprehensive report that includes recommendations
